简介
Sophia walked into the house after a stressful day at the hospital. She opened the door, to see the living room lights on, and a few clothes on the floor, she hurriedly climbed the stairs walking to their room upstairs, only to hear two voices who were seriously doing something. She recognized the voice of George but the lady's voice was not certain.

She rushed to Mr. And Mrs. Smith. "Mom, Dad, I cannot marry Damien. Besides, I do not know him and I don't love him. Isn't there any way for me to not get married to him?" She asked looking straight into their eyes.

"Are you questioning my decisions? You should be grateful that I let you marry from one of the most powerful families here in Miami" Mr. Damien's face darkened in displeasure as he stared at the latter.

"But Mrs. Fiona needs me now more than ever" she added. Mrs. Fiona had been her caregiver ever since she was little, Sophia considered her mother but the recent illness she was having broke her heart.

"Is Mrs. Fiona a more reason why you should accept the proposal? Don't you want her to get well? This is the sacrifice you'd have to bare for her total recovery" Mrs. Smith added with less concern.

They left her by the door, she crashed to the couch, she was going to marry a man she one nothing about but the thought of George and Mika's betrayer her heart broke the more. The only thing that made her yield was the medical expenses and she had to marry the so-called useless man Damien, which made her even cry out. Love was not going to pay Mrs. Fiona's bills, and the only way to do that for the only person that mattered to her was to marry Damien Roberts. George walked down the stairs dressed fully, he looked at Sophia sitting on the couch, about to meet her when Mika stopped his trail.

"George, you left this behind" she squealed, wrapping her hands around him, he tried to avoid the clingy lady, but he just couldn't. Sophia clenched her fist and stomped into her room, fighting back the tears that were about to fall off.

"He doesn't deserve a single drop of your precious tears, Sophia." She mumbled to herself, she was a total package,

Her Amazonian figure sat well on her wafer-thin body. She had a decanter shaped waist and her complexion had an impeccable, ochrous hue. Her pencil-thin eyebrows eased down gently to her black, beetle’s-leg eyelashes. A sculptor could not have fashioned her seraph’s ears and pixie’s nose any better.

When she broke into a smile, her beguiling, oyster-white teeth lit up the room. It could jolt you like an electric current when that megawatt smile gave you her full attention. Filed to perfection, her Venus-red fingernails ran through her nougat-brown hair. Spools of it plunged around her photogenic face and hid a swan’s neck, elegant and smooth. Her voguish clothes still kept captive an aroma redolent of cinnamon and meadow-fresh mint. It lingered in the room long after she had gone.

"What was that all about? He finally got the strength to push her away after Sophia had left for her room.

"What? I have to show her and rub it on her face who the winner is" she grinned making George instantly regret his decision.

"You've gotten what you want, now let me go," he asked freeing himself from her grip once more.

"You don't have to feel guilty, baby boy," she says caressing his chin.

"And what were they all about? He questioned.

"What exactly,? She pretended to not know, she knew he was disturbed by her sudden pregnancy news, that news broke Sophia the more, as she got to realize they had been on it for so long. He felt the ground should open up and swallow him.

Mika was just about 5 inches tall, she had a long brown hair with bangs in the front. Mika was cute but one would definitely tell with her sly look each time she looked at something she wanted. Her skin skin was smooth but not as Sophia. He looked into her brown eyes which held victory.

"Don't worry about that" she smiled kissing him on both cheeks before leaving for her room, leaving his question unanswered as he watched her sway her behind with her hair bouncing ,as she disappeared into the stairs.

It's been a week since the announcement to the Smith household that Sophia was getting married to Damien. The Roberts family had sent a delegate to officiate the wedding plans, the main groom was out of town on a business trip. So she couldn't see him until the said date he was to arrive and that was on their wedding day. Sophia prayed silently for him to delay at the airport or meet up with traffic on the stipulated date and time.

The day of the wedding had finally come, she was dressed in a white ball wedding gown that sprawled everywhere. She sat lost in her world as the stylist put on the finishing touches on her face. She fought the urge not to cry, this was not her planned wedding. The stylist saw her tears and took them as she was overwhelmed. She had seen a lot of brides cry at their weddings, she found it emotional.

"Ma'am, it's ok to cry. A lot of brides also cry out of excitement" Sophia gave weak smile, little did she know she was crying out of sadness.

"I'll retouch your make up and then we're all down" the stylist smiled looking at the beauty through the mirror on the wall.

"The groom is really lucky to have such a beauty as a wife," she thought inwardly admiring her work of art that brought out the beauty more in Sophia.

At the wedding ceremony, Sophia stood at the altar and was waiting for her unknown husband to be to arrived.

Damien, who hadn’t arrived yet. She had never seen him and heard that he

was an idler, so she felt a little anxious. Seeing that no one from the Roberts family too had shown up, Sophia began getting cold feet, yes she had prayed for this but the experience was embarrassing. Did fate listen to her little prayer?

Seeing her tense up, Mika stood up and shouted in a loud voice.

"Where's your groom, Sophia!? Seems to me like a coward and wouldn't even show up to his own wedding" she says, causing the participants then all gossip about Damien. Sophia couldn’t stand Mika anymore,

"Can you just stop it,? He might be running late" she severely stopped her, her patience too was running out. She was going to be a laughing stock if he didn't show up as there was no evidence that they were getting married, and there were no pre-wedding photos to back up her claim if he missed the wedding. All the people suddenly fell silent. At that time, Damien finally arrived.

He was dressed in a dashing Grey tuxedo France-made suit. His hair was firmly curled backward. The Damien was finally in front of her, and she couldn't deny the fact that this rumored idler was charming, he almost swept her off her feet with just his good looks. To her, he looked much better than George.

She admired his poise and prestige confidence as he stood at the door of the church, with his hands in his pockets. He paused and looked around for a while then his eyes caught hers on the altar but she couldn't tell his current mood.
