"Commander, please tell my comrades-in-arms that I, Bernard Johnson... can't fight side by side with them anymore."

Bernard, carrying his old military green canvas bag, stood on the platform of the train station. Bathing in the setting sun, he whispered into his cell phone with a firm look.

People were running past him, catching the train, but his tall and strong figure didn't swing a bit.

"Alas." The commander sighed on the phone, "I didn't expect that you, the God of Horgria Army, the formidable Shura King, would be forced to leave the military. What if you didn't beat up Richard Owen at that time..."

"You're wrong!" Bernard suddenly shouted, interrupting the Commander.

At this moment, tremendous hatred filled in his eyes. He squeezed the cell phone tightly, and his knuckles turned pale.

Bernard finally calmed himself down. He said with anger, "If Richard didn't escape, with the skills Adam had, he could haven't died. If the time can be turned back, I would do it all over again. The only regret I have is that I didn't kill Richard for Adam!"

"You..." The Commander was stunned but wasn't angry. He said helplessly, "Why do you always have to do this to yourself! For your comrades-in-arms, you could sacrifice your own life. Forget it. I don't want to talk about it anymore, but you have to be careful. The Owen family is very powerful. Keep an eye on them in case they are after you for revenge."

"Hmph, let them come! I'm never scared of anyone in this world!" Bernard straightened his posture. His figure looked like a sharp sword drawn out of its sheath, revealing its sharp edge.

"Haha... You didn't fail your name, Shura King. Forget about my worries." The commander laughed, and the worries in his tone had disappeared, "Alright, I will leave you to it. Call me when you arrive at River City."

"Sure thing!"

Bernard promised with a smile, then hung up the phone. He straightened his canvas bag and strode on the high-speed train to River City.

There were a lot of people in the car, but Bernard didn't slow his footsteps down. Soon he found his aisle seat but was surprised that someone had taken it.

The person who took Bernard's seat was a man in his early thirties, wearing designer clothes. He was talking with a woman sitting opposite him with a smile on his face.

"Beauty, are you also going to River City?"

"Yes," The woman answered inattentively. Her face was angled toward the aisle, obviously wasn't paying any attention to the man.

"Me too!" The man was extremely excited and immediately reached out his hand, "Hello, my name is Samuel Stella."

"Oh," The woman said. She didn't even turn her head and say one more word.

Samuel's hand stiffened, and the smile on his face faded.

He was refused! Bernard saw the scene and secretly shook his head. He gently nudged Samuel's shoulder and said politely, "Excuse me. You are sitting on my seat."

"Don't push!" Samuel suddenly shouted like an ignited dynamite and shook his shoulder aggressively as if he had been electrocuted. He leaned his head sideways and snorted. "What are you doing?" He asked Bernard angrily.

Bernard knew that he was trying to vent his anger. Bernard was unhappy but didn't think it worth his trouble to argue with Samuel. Bernard took out his ticket and showed it to Samuel. He pointed at the seat and said, "This is my seat."

Samuel looked at the ticket and glanced at Bernard. His eyes went from Barnard's color-faded shirt and his old canvas bag to the generic canvas shoes. Samuel's face suddenly showed a trace of disdain. He said, "Hey, hillbillies can ride the high-speed train too?"

He then brushed off his should where Bernard just touched as if there was something dirty.

Samual held his neck high and pointed at the seat next to the aisle seat. In a commanding tone, he said arrogantly, "This is mine. Sit here."

Bernard's face dropped. He looked at Samual as if there was an arrow shooting out at Samual. At this moment, Bernard, who had been indifferent just now, turned aggressive. There was a fierce aura emanated from him. Bernard said word by word, "I only sit in my seat. Get out of the way!"

Samuel couldn't help but tremble. Somehow, he felt as if he was in a hell charged by Shura. Samuel stood up involuntarily. He took a step back with a pale face and sat down on his own seat.

Bernard took a glance at Samuel, and his gaze was softened. He sat down.

However, at this moment, the woman suddenly turned her head toward him, looking at him sharply. Bernard was alarmed. He looked up, and his eyes suddenly lit up.

The woman was valiant and beautiful. She had flawless skin and a curvy body. She wore a white shirt and a pair of blue jeans, looking refreshing and enticing as if she just walked out of a film from the last century.

Beautiful as she was, but her eyes were filled with caution when she was staring at Bernard.

"What did I do? Did I just offend her?" Bernard looked away confused. He carefully put his canvas bag on his lap and guarded it firmly with both hands.

The woman's eyes followed Bernard's movement. Suddenly, she fixed her eyes on Bernard's hand.

She suddenly smiled and reached out her hand, "Hello, my name is Melanie Dual."

"She wants to shake hands with me?" Bernard had a strange feeling. He looked at her and shook her hand. Bernard said with a smile, "My name is Bernard Johnson."

The moment the two hands touched, Bernard could clearly feel that Melanie was feeling the cocoon on his index finger.

"What on earth does she want?" Bernard was more suspicious. He couldn't help but size Melanie up. Suddenly, his eyes lit up.

Melanie was leaning forward, and there was something black that showed up around her waistband. It was imperceptible to the eyes of an average person, but Bernard recognized it right away. It was a police-issued Beretta 92.

It turned out that she was a policewoman. Bernard suspected that he might be the suspect. He took back his hand with a smile. Bernard then glanced around the surrounding from the corner of his eyes and spotted several other undercover police officers.

"It seems that something will happen in this cart!" Bernard had his prediction.

"Why do you have so many calluses in your hands?"

Melanie also took back her hand. She smiled and asked casually, but the wariness in the corner of her eyes was deeper. She thought to herself, "This Bernard Johnson isn't as simple as he looks. His posture is too confident. When he confronted Samuel just now, his temperament was aggressive. The cocoon on his hand is definitely caused by years of handling guns. Everything about him is suspicious, and I have to find out his background!"

But at this moment.

"It's so obvious! He is a migrant worker who is doing labor all the time. How can he not have cocoon?" Samuel suddenly interrupted.

He had been gnashing his teeth in anger. Melanie didn't even look at him when he tried to talk to her. But she not only suggested the handshake first but also told the hillbilly her name. Why on earth was he getting a much worse treatment?

Therefore, when the chance to humiliate Bernard came, he wouldn't miss it.

"Yes, I'm a labor worker. But I don't carry things. I'm a butcher, cutting up pigs," Bernard used the excuse given by Samuel. He looked at Samuel as if he was looking at a stupid pig.

"Ha, you turned out to be a pig-butcher..." Samuel laughed at him harder.

But before he finished his words, Melanie shouted angrily, "Shut up! I am talking to him. Why are you keeping bothering me?"

Bang!

Melanie's words were like a slap on Samuel's face, making his face turned red. Samuel stared at Melanie with his mouth agape and couldn't speak a word.

Melanie glared at this pestering guy again and turned to Bernard with a smile on her face, "We..."

But unexpectedly, Bernard interrupted her with a chuckle, "Miss, let's just stop there. I'm a little tired, and I'd like to rest for a while."

Bernard closed his eyes and ignored Melanie, who was dumbfounded.

"This damn guy!" Melanie was so angry that she grounded her teeth. She had an impulse to rush up and interrogate Bernard, with her hands on Bernard's neck.

Suddenly, her earpieces rang.

"Melanie, I just got the news that there are terrorists on the train. One of them carries a canvas bag. There are explosives in the bag."

"Explosives! Canvas bag!"

Melanie's body shook. She looked at Bernard's bag involuntarily.
