JADEN'S POV

Hi, my name is Jaden, and I am human trapped in the world ruled by vampires 'yes' vampires it's been over 500 years since vampires took over the world and in slaved humans. The year is now 2022. For a while the planet was controlled by one ruler from year 1520 until 1636 but that all ended when other vampires had enough of his ruling, and claimed him unfit to rule, something about human population dropping and humans being unable to reproduce anymore bla bla bla.

Ok so I get what you're thinking...like how is that possible they force them to have sex with a random person, the woman falls pregnant, she gives birth and has to do that process over again right it's that easy I mean how hard can it be correct ...

But you see to get humans to reproduce you have to have humans to start with and with him that wasn't possible. He had no laws, he had no control over anything, the human race was decreasing and the more they decreased the more the vampires got upset so that's when another group of 5 vampires decided they had enough, killed him and they took over. The leader of the group's name was Logan my current king and the rest was Roman his best friend and second strongest king, then Carmon, Maximus and Stan.

With that they sat at a table divided the world into equal quantities and yes you heard me correctly they sat at a big round table.

Can u believe it they actually sat at a table dividing the earth into 5 kingdoms with 5 Kings and Queens and only 5 but to be fair they were the ones to take down the previous king.

I live in Blood moon kingdom...I know the name is the bone chilling one out of all the kingdoms since on the blood moon day vampires lose control and drain any human they lay their eyes on and we are called the Blood Moon cause lucky us we got the highest blood driven vampires that would do anything for blood on that day while other kingdoms vampires can actually control themselves a bit, this kingdom is something else, how we bounce back after every Blood Moon festival is beyond me but when the isn't any blood moon this place is the safest  place on earth how ironic.

I live in a village called Queens Land because this is where our Queen use to live along with her sister Queen Kaytlan. Queen Kaytlan is King Roman's beloved. Two sisters born to be queen's, funny right.

"Mum the muffins are all done, I'm going to the blood bank now then to Momo and I will be back maybe by 6 before lockup by 8!" I shout out to my mum as she was coming up the stairs from the basement, carrying more flour.

My mum owns a bakery well half bakery half sweet shop .My mum and dad use to own it together but after a tragic accident my dad passed away and left everything in my name. So technically I own it then. Anyway...

My mum says that once I am old enough, she will stop helping me because it's my business now, like woman I'm 19 years old, what do you want from me.

"Honey you are suppose to lock up today remember?" My mum said while coming to the front desk where I was "Nice try mum you know today is a Sunday and I get to go early."

" Well, it never hurts to try now does it " my mum says while pinching my cheek playfully yet painfully at the same time.

I say bye to her and run out before she comes up with an excuse to make me stay saying I should help her with something really quick and real quick turns into the rest of the day of me doing her work we all have those moms right.

I'm on my way to the blood bank to give my blood , my mum went yesterday but I was busy at the shop and I know tomorrow I will be too busy to go so that means I only get today to go before I get a strike, if I get 5 then I get punished.

Punishment can be imprisonment, or you can get beaten in front of your village as an example or worse they sell you to a different kingdom that means you no longer allowed in this one, it's kind of harsh but it is what it is. I don't even have one and don't want one. They give us three days and yesterday was one so it either today or tomorrow for me.

One of the rules for us humans' protection here in Blood Moon is that we can't be sold as slaves and its better than the other kingdoms that do it so we as humans in return every third week have to give in our blood so that it can be sold to the vampires. Another rule is that no vampire may not feed on a human even if its willingly the only way you can feed from humans is if well your royalty I mean they can kill you and get no punishment I mean in other kingdoms it's like duh their vampires they can do whatever they want but for other normal vampires here they can get imprisoned or banished from the kingdom.

Too bad that the other kingdoms don't work like that but enslaved humans and sell them. Lucky for us Blood Moon humans we get freedom. No human is allowed to ever leave their kingdom to go to another unless its royal work related, or you have permission from the king and queen themselves. If you try to escape or caught trespassing, you will be killed on the spot. Too bad for the ones that aren't in this kingdom.

"Jaden wait up " I heard someone call my name from behind and i know that voice from anywhere that's my bestie Momo. I turn around and I almost scream bloody murderer by how close she was from my face. This girl is so fast I swear she was a good mile away when I heard her call my name." Momo what the fuck back up" I say while trying to slow down my heart rate

" Ya i knew you were going to go today so I didn't go yesterday so that we can go together " awe isn't she just sweet " so you chickened out again " I say with a knowing smile on my face. You see my friend here has this thing with needles and always chickened out alone, she just can't do it without me.

"Whaaaattt....noooooo.... me I never chick ... uhhgg fine yes, I didn't even make it to my door before i fainted from having to go alone " so I guessed "let's go chicken legs" I say knowing well she hates it when I call her that.

Momo and I have been of age to give blood for 3 years now and trust me when I say you never get use to it ...I means you never get use to it ...not even my mum and she is 43 years and you start when you are 16 so yes it's that terrible well not terrible as in painful but as in not liking the feeling of maybe one of the guards losses it and drains you dry...It happens more often than you would think.

After giving blood, Momo and I went to her house which is only 6 blocks away from my house yay so so close to home 'note the sarcasm' I'm lazy that way but hay they say lazy is smart so yah.

At this moment I'm lying face first into Momo's pillow. We are in her bedroom just hanging and talking about boys well technically it's her talking I'm mostly just trying to block her out, but her voice is so squeaky that it's hard to ignore 'don't tell her I said that' now she is talking about her crush and how he has a crush on me and not her and how he openly shows it and doesn't try to hide that he likes me. I personally think he just wants to have sex that's it I mean he even told my friend Fontana that he would sleep with her if she hooked him up with me, I mean seriously the guy got not shame.

" Come on he is super hot Jay I mean have you seen his six-pack man it's amazing and Chris is so handsome " yeah right handsome but no " Dude I'm not going to say yes, he is so 'f' ing annoying and I don't like him and to be honest not my type "I don't get why she insist on me going out with him since she is the one who likes him.

Ok so he is handsome in his own way but i just dont like him but to be fair he is pretty handsome but not my type. " ok fine tell me Jay how is he annoying , why do you hate him, why wont you go out with him once ,cant you give him a chance, have you seen him shirtless dude why not just once ? And speaking what is your type then mmhhh?"

She attacked me with all these questions so often that I already have my responses ready" ok one breathe and two his face is annoying I don't know why three I don't know he has idiotic vibes and I'm scared he will rub it off on me four the answer will always be no five yes countless of times he lives next door and loves sitting outside shirtless and six refer back to two and three and seven anyone but him, he can kill me by just being around me I just don't like him." I answer in a bored tone.

It was silent for like 20 seconds and be for I knew it there is a pillow flying right into my face.

After the pillow fight, I decided to head back home it was already 5 and I knew I will make it back by 6:30 and yes, I will say it again I'm lazy that way I walk really slow. Days like these I wish she had never moved from next door.

After reaching home I went straight up to my room. Our house is a 3-bedroom house it's not that big but too big for two people my room is the biggest since my mum didn't want the bigger room, she says it filled with memories of my dad and it's too much for her to handle, I on the other hand barely remember the guy. After I change I get into bed and hope that I wake up at 8 since that's when its dinner time and I am starving lucky me today it's my mums turn to cook so I'm off since I cook from Monday to Friday then my mum cooks Saturday and Sunday its unfair but it was me who said it should be that way so that she doesn't have to work that hard...with waking up at dinner time set in my mind I drift off to sleep .
